3M™ Nomad™ Aqua Plus Entrance Matting is a new concept in drop-down entrance matting that removes dirt and moisture more effectively, thanks to its innovative three-layer construction with a unique, 3D void draining structure cleverly incorporated in its special middle layer.
Step 1: dual fibre top layer
Formed from absorbent and permeable polypropylene or polyamide dual fibre tuft, larger texturised coarse fibres remove dirt while smaller fine fibres absorb excess water. It has been recently reported that this tracked-in dirt can generate up to 95%* of appearance problems on textile floors, creating a negative impression on occupants and visitors alike.
Step 2: unique, revolutionary middle layer
A water draining fleece securely bonded to the top textile with a permeable and water resistant adhesive layer - an inimitable 3D void structure that increases absorbency by up to 50%, depending on product reference, to minimise retracking. This helps make a safer building by reducing the chances of slips and trips.
Step 3: PVC free, impervious, non-slip, recyclable third layer
With over 50% reduction in PVC** the impervious backing does not release dampness after absorbing water and, manufactured from a polymer containing up to 50% recycled content, is easier to recycle at the end of its estimated five to ten year lifetime (depending on type).
